Hill Stations in Jammu and Kashmir

The major reason to visit Jammu and Kashmir is the beautiful valleys, meadow of flowers and the adventurous sports such as trekking, skiing, aero sports and many more. In Jammu, the busy tress at the higher altitudes offers alpine tress that is excellent. Besides these, there are number of herbal trees and plants widely use for medicinal herbs. Even short treks and horse rides are other activities that are performed surrounding the hills. Besides these, the Krishnasar Lake and Bisanar Lake are worth to watch. Sonamarg place plays a major role as it is the way to pass through Ladakh in the range of Great Himalayan Mountains. Sonmarg is base for the Amarnath yatra cave. Gulmarg, one of the most popular ski resort destinations in India, is also home to the world's highest green golf course.

Besides Kashmir, Jammu region too has a lot of tourism potential. Bhau Fort in Jammu city is the major attraction centre for the tourists visiting the city. Bage-e-Bahu is the another tourist destination. Aquarium established by the fisheries department is being visited by many these days. Jammu is being majorly visited by the tourist from across the India as a pilgrimage to Mata Vaishno Devi.
