Climate: Hot and Humid in summers and pleasant in winters
Best Time To Visit: Throughout the year, but migratory birds can be spotted only in winters.
Air: The nearest airport is Agartala which is connected by flights with Delhi, Kolkotta and Guwahati.
Rail: Kumarghat and Dharama Nagar are the nearest railway stations.
Road: Agartala is well connected by road with Silchar, Guwahati, Shillong and Dharmanagar.

Location: 35 km from Agartala, Tripura .Sepahijala Wildlife Sanctuary, positioned at a total distance of (thirty five km) away from Agartala city. The safe haven encompasses a stretch of (185.53) also known for its primates, birds and wildlife. Every year migratory birds from distant lands visit Tripura in search of warmth and food. Many of the species may be seen in Sepahijala, Rudrasasgar and in the lake of College Tilla at Agartala during December-January.

The endangered species seen here is Dukul ( the green Imperial pegion-state bird) and groups of Phary's leaf monkey-State animal. You can spot rare view of crab overpowering Mongoose and eating up that was previously seen seventy two years ago. Some of the rare and endangered species that resides here includes pigtailed macaque, spectacled langur, capped langur and rhesus macaque. Other animals comprise of clouded leopards, civets, leopards.

The moist deciduous forest of the Sanctuary shelters five different species of primates such as Rhesus macaque, Pigtailed macaque, Capped langur, Spectacled langur and slow lories. There are diverse lakes which are seen inside the sanctuary. Lagoons like Abasarika and Amrit Sagar offers the visitors with the enchanting and thrilling boating services.

Accommodation:
Forest Dak Bungalow 'Absarika' and five cottages are available for accommodation inside the Sanctuary. Agartala which is quite near to the sanctuary offers a wide range of accommodation facilities.
