According to the legendary tales, the construction of this temple was made under the rule of King Kalchuri who was the leader of the Kalchurian dynasty. The architectural and the carvings on the surface of the Mahamaya Temple are worth watching when visiting this place.

Bhoramdeo Temple this temple is famous for its architectural and carvings that are engraved on the wall of the temple. Therefore, it has received a second name as the ‘Khajuraho of Chhattisgarh’.

Hatkeshwar Mahadev Temple is another most popular pilgrimage destination while exploring in the state of Chattisgarh. The Hatkeshwar Mahadev Temple is renowned for its Shiva Linga which self emerged from the ground. The holy shrine is highly valued by the Hindu people of India, where it reflects the customs and rituals of India. This temple is located at a short distance of over five kilometers from the village Raipur which lies near the bank of Kharun River.
