Bastar district of the state is popular for tribal art and handicrafts. The village of Bastar, apart from offering a vivid glimpse of the tribal life, offers a wide array of metal crafted handicrafts. These molded iron objects are original tribal products of Bastar and is quite popular among tourists.

The temperature during the summer months touches a scorching 45°C (113°F). The state receives the monsoons during the June-October period which comes as a relief to the scorching heat.
